The Plaid Penguin concept grew out of a desire to bring quality handcrafted works of art and unique gift items that we found attractive to the Internet. We offer artists the ability to show their work to a growing number of people who shop on the Internet or through catalogs.

From the customer side, you will find here unique works of art and gift items which you would not otherwise find at your local mall or retailer. This grew out of our frustration in shopping to find a unique gift for that one special person who has everything (like the President of your biggest account, for example).

We miss the Mom and Pop shops that offer the unique and unusual. That is what prompted us to start the Plaid Penguin.
